About Us
We started Transaq because we care about security, privacy and resilience.

We needed a platform we could use to transact with our partners and clients- something we would want to use as private citizens.

Something frictionless that didn’t compromise on user security or privacy, with the resilience of the cloud, accessible to users of all technical levels even in developing countries. Something cost effective even at small volumes. It was complicated, so we set out to make it easy.

We combine rapid integration with accessible workflows and frictionless processes, and tie it together with industry standard security- all packaged for businesses from startup to enterprise.

SECURITY

We take security very seriously, and protect your data the way we want our data protected- by not transmitting it unnecessarily, and using bank-grade encryption and access controls.

PRIVACY

We facilitate the exchange of information on a strict ‘need-to-know’ basis, with emphasis on purpose and duration of access. Meanwhile, users’ biometric data is stored in a form that cannot be reverse engineered and is located on secure hardware within your device or encrypted at rest in the cloud.

RESILIENCE

Most authentication apps leave you locked out of your accounts if your phone is lost/stolen or stops working for whatever reason. While users can choose to link their data to any platform account, email or device- we give everyone the option to link it to their identity. This requires them to prove who they are (with government ID and a selfie), and allows them to recover their account even in the event of stolen/lost devices- no need to remember a passphrase, or store a backup picture of your QR code!
